Damping-Off
Apply the following preplant incorporated or as a soil-surface spray after planting.
Ridomil Gold-- 1-2 pt 4E/A
Leaf Spot, Canker, and Mildew
Rotate to allow 2 years between parsnip plantings. Use well-drained soil with a pH of 7. Ridge soil over shoulders to prevent infection. Begin sprays at the first sign of disease. Repeat no more than three times at 10-day intervals.
Alternate:
chlorothalonil (Bravo,Echo, Equus)-- 1.5-2 pt 6F/A or OLF with:
azoxystrobin (Quadris--9.2 - 15.4 oz 2.08F/A or Amistar--3-5 oz 80WDG/A), or
Cabrio--8-12 oz 20EG/A
(do not make more than one consecutive application of Amistar, Quadris or Cabrio)
